Amanda Haines: Away with the Faeries
Tues 29th September to 23rd October 2009
Open evening 7th October 7-9pm

This new exhibition by Amanda Haines is inspired by all things ethereal and mystical. Her bold use of colour provides the backdrop for her intricate collage.

Using paper, fabric, paint, beads and glitter Amanda has created a series of mysterious playful landscapes. What hides within the frenetic sparkling undergrowth? What will tickle your toes as you wander through the tangled grasses at dusk or dawn?

Following a successful year exhibiting widely in the Medway towns this new exhibition of abstract landscapes by Amanda Haines is inspired by all things ethereal, playful and mystical and has been driven by her desire to somehow express unworldly concepts in a form we can all appreciate.

Her bold use of vibrant colour forms the backdrop for intricate collaging. Using patterned paper, fabric, paint, gutta, beads, glitter and reclaimed items from this world she has conjured vistas from another.
Amanda invites you to leave reality behind and enter a world where your toes may be tickled as you wander through tangled dew drenched grasses. Faeries could be tantalisingly hidden within the frenetic sparkling undergrowth…….
