About the Photographer:

Francis embarked on his ambition to become an accomplished photographer 4 years ago, having invested in a traditional 35mm professional Canon camera and an assortment of lenses. He began teaching himself the technical aspects and disciplines of the art form, capturing landscapes, cityscapes and architectural images, as well as still life studies. His initial pursuit of his keen interest in photography quickly developed into a passion.

An assortment of Francis’ current body of work is also available to both domestic and corporate customers, through selected agents and independent retailers. Hahnemuhle Fine Art, an internationally reputed manufacturer of fine art papers, have featured some of Francis images in the promotion and advertising of their fine art papers, in the following publications:-
Professional Image Maker (SEPT-OCT) issues p83
Art Business Today (OCT) issue p22
Picture Business (OCT) issue p29

In his first international photography competition, Francis’ “Swan & Peace Lily” tilted images and received nominations in the “Nature and Still Life” categories of the Black & White Spider Awards. The works of nominated photographers were selected from thousands of entries from over forty countries, by a prestigious judging panel from the international photography community, including Magnum Photos (New York), Tate Gallery (London), British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP), Fratelli Alinari Museum (Florence) and the Leica Photo Gallery.

Francis derives a great sense of pleasure and fulfilment from his work and feels proud to be presenting this portfolio. Over time his ambition is to continue to explore both natural and man-made beauty around the world and present images that poignantly embody the splendour of our delicately balanced environment; we have the good fortune to inhabit.
