Clive Ball - MUSIC OF THE SPHERES
A visual interpretation of Holst’s Planets Suite


28th June – 22nd July 2005
Open evening 28th June 7.30 to 9.30pm

Clive is a retired journalist and experienced artist in watercolours and oils. He has written articles on painting for a number of art magazines. His work has been seen in venues throughout Greater London and the Home Counties. He has painted in Tuscany, Andalusia, France and across Southern England. His works also hang in private collections in Brisbane and California. He is a member of the Bromley Arts Council and West Wickham Arts Society.

Clive won a place on a general art course at Southend College of Art in the late 1950’s. After a varied career as engineer, journalist and public relations consultant, he retired to pursue his interest painting. Clive’s current exhibition Music of the Spheres features a visual interpretation of Holst’s Planets Suite. Clive also teaches watercolour techniques for beginners at the Sue Clark Gallery, Beckenham and at various other venues for Age Concern and other organisations. He also offers one-to-one coaching from his own studio.
