Jo trained in Textile design at the Central School of Art and Design and began teaching shortly after. A country girl at heart Jo loves the outdoors and being creative, her colourful works are influenced by the garden and pattern. She regularly works in textiles, embroidery and mosaics but mainly paints in acrylics and enjoys collage, pen and ink, pencil and watercolour. Jo often exhibits and her works have been shown in South East Arts, Xross-PolyNation in India, an art exhibition for Gambia in Yalding and other countrywide venues, she won second prize in a National wall painting design competition in Cyprus..
