Langley Park School for Boys Spring Exhibition
5th February to 29th February 2008
Open evening 5th February 2008 7-9pm’

Please Ring to view except open evening when all are welcome without prior arrangement.
The exhibition spans two rooms and showcases the work of both AS + A Level Fine Art students that has been produced so far this year.
In the Drawing room you will find a vibrant and diverse range of outcomes from the Year 13 students. They have the freedom to select their own areas of study - examples include: ‘Portraits and Meaning’, ‘Movement’ and ‘Light’.
Students embark on a series of rigorous observations, investigations and experiments before developing their ideas into more sophisticated outcomes. Expect to witness some technically outstanding portraits, expressive depictions of movement as well as outstanding pieces that embrace more contemporary uses of print, collage and mixed-media.
Year 12 students’ work is displayed in the Dining room and represents the pieces largely produced on a 10 week ‘Introduction Course’ in a variety of materials and media. They are taken through many methods and processes from observational drawing to print, paint and 3dimensional work, connecting their ideas to those of other artists at each stage. Some of the selected pieces include: Large scale anatomical drawings/prints and observations of natural forms, textures and structures
