Students of Peter Sutton stage this joint exhibition of their work.
The show launches with an open evening on Wednesday 5th April 7.30
- 9.30 pm. and runs until Friday 28th April. This unusual event
is a ‘thank you’ to Peter for all the encouragement
and guidance given to his Group.
Works embrace a variety of subjects from traditional landscapes
and portraits to floral and wildlife paintings. Many of those showing
their work have been with Peter for a number of years, sharing his
enthusiasm and gaining greatly from his constructive criticism.
Based at the Widmore Centre, this group of artists specialises in
watercolours of a very high standard. Some class members have staged
one-man exhibitions here at the Ripley Arts Centre, and have shown
their works in galleries in Beckenham and Petts Wood. At least one
class member now has work hanging in private collections in California
and Brisbane, Australia.
