I am a local frustrated amateur artist. Frustrated because the careers advice at school was to concentrate on more ‘academic’ subjects. Now after 20 years working in the public sector I have once again picked up my paint brush and now can’t put it down. T. Barrow
Inspired by my dog Paddington a black Labrador retriever and the friends we make on our daily walks; I was encouraged to get out the brushes and paint to try to capture their character and individuality. Friends then asked me to paint their pets and favourite animals ranging from chickens to giraffes! Having rediscovered my love of painting my subjects have gone from 4 legs to 2! Now I can’t look at any scene, object or person without thinking how I would capture it on canvas. I am so excited to have this opportunity to display my paintings and hope people get as much pleasure looking at them as I do painting them. T. Barrow
