Tony Walter-Bellue – Light and Space
29th September to 22nd October 2010
Open evening 4th October 7-9pm
For Tony Walter-Bellue painting is a journey of discovery. The excitement and challenge of the work comes from the freedom to explore changing moods, colours and methods as the work progresses. The subject, whether real or imaginary, can then be treated in either a realistic or an abstract way. Landscapes mostly from the Kent and Suffolk countryside, based on sketches and colour notes made in situ or from memory, provide the basis for development later in the studio, and are the inspiration for much of his current work in acrylic and pastel.
