This will be the third solo exhibition for Jenny Phillips at Ripley Arts Centre. The oil paintings represent her personal travels to Europe and Egypt. Each canvas depicts a moment captured on camera, and stored in her memory for translation with paint. This year the subject matter is about having the freedom to choose how and what to paint, without restrictions. The size of the paintings is much smaller than usual, depicting the intimacy of the thought behind the work.

Rose Atkinson is a photographer with a unique style. The works in this exhibition represent a contrast between the city and the beauty of the natural world close to home. On one side, they offer a fascinating and often fantastical perspective which challenges your perceptions; and on the other, an intimate observation of natural beauty in stunning colour.
