A series of oils on Canvas of flower still life – exploring texture, colour, movement and light. Flowers are ephemeral things, not lasting very long but they possess a spiritual quality or essence as natural forms, part of nature and I have tried to convey this in the paintings. Julia Chambers

Light hearted illustrative paintings employing loose mark making techniques with pen, brush, spray, using mixed media mainly ink, watercolour and gouache. Inspired by poems, limericks, comedy and nature, especially birds. Sue is fascinated with long legged, wading birds and finds amusement in their pre historic looks and their grouchy, haughty demeanour.
