An Abstract Art Exhibition by Steve Sargeant BA(hons)
My abstract works are all about colour, form and movement. I like to experiment with different ways of applying colour to canvas. Apart from brushwork, I use flow techniques, palette knife and aerosols. I like to evoke the imagination of the viewer.
I am a self taught artist and have painted for the last 40 years. I have exhibited at a number of galleries in Kent over the years and have had my own solo exhibitions .Whilst my genre rests currently with abstract art, my previous genres have included portraits, animals and human figures. I have undertaken a number of portrait commissions. I am more than pleased to receive further commissions, both representational and abstract. Often it’s important for clients to match colour to their décor and furnishings, which I am more than pleased to accommodate.
I studied Arts and Humanities at Open University in 1990’s. Art has always been, and will always be, my passion!
