BROMLY ART SOCIETY
Bromley Art Society was formed in 1947 to bring together local painters, craftspeople and students, and all who share an appreciation of the fine arts. Most of its members are amateur artists working in a wide variety of media.
Each year the Society stages major public exhibitions which provide an excellent opportunity to display original works of art.
An essential element of the Society’s programme is a season if illustrated lectures and demonstrations held in the Verrall Hall, United Reform Church, Widmore Road, Bromley on the first Friday of each month.
Members of the Society paint together on Wednesdays at Ripley Arts Centre, Sundridge Avenue, Bromley BR1 2PX. Session times are 10.00am to 1.00pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
Our magazine ‘The Easel’ is received by members every three months with news and views of the Society’s activities, reviews of art events and letters and articles submitted by members.
