Martin Pinder – Local Aspects (Ring to view)
25th October to 18th November 2011
Open eve: 26th October 2011 7-9pm

This exhibition features subjects inspired by locations in and around Kent and its neighbouring counties. The collection of oil paintings is executed in a “relentlessly realistic” style and features the wide variety of buildings and countryside to be found in these parts.

Martin Pinder started painting at the age of 10 and a brief attendance at Camberwell was followed by a career in the art and graphics industry which, with a break as a professional musician, took care of the next 40 years.
As a resident of Biggin Hill, inspiration for landscape, street scenes and still life subjects comes from the local area, but a passion for France has produced its own set of images.

Works in oil, acrylic and watercolour have been sold into private collections in UK, France, Spain and Thailand while last year saw the inclusion of an oil painting in the RA Summer Exhibition.
