Indigenous is a collection of paintings and drawings celebrating the richness and diversity of African Art. Ishola Familusi is a professional African Artist based in Medway, Kent. He has had several solo and joint exhibitions to his name over the years both in the UK and abroad.
Ishola trained professionally in Nigeria as a contemporary African artist, he continues to be inspired by the wealth of nature surrounding the African rural setting and the diverse culture reflective in the life style and dressing of the different tribes in the Africa. ‘Indigenous’ features paintings and drawings that capture mostly the diverse culture found in the different rural ethnic communities found in the country of Nigeria in West Africa, alongside with a display of rich original African fabric wall hangings. It truly takes one on a journey filled with ‘The African Experience’.
